Privacy notice
What data of yours reaches us when you visit the site, write to us or use the quote tool, what we do with it and how to ask us to correct or delete it. Written so it can be understood in one read.
Last updated: October 27, 2026
This is an English translation of our privacy notice in Spanish, provided for convenience. The notice is governed by Mexican law, and if the two versions differ, the Spanish version prevails.
01Who is responsible for your data
Visenia is responsible for the use and protection of your personal data. We are in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, and you can write to us at privacy@visenia.com or call us at +52 (56) 5493-8518, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Monterrey time, UTC−6).
This notice covers visenia.com and how we deal with you when you contact us. It does not cover the products we publish separately: the Session Tracer extension has its own policy, because what it does happens inside your browser and is nothing like this.
02What data we collect and what we don't
Only what you give us when you reach out. When you fill out the contact form, we ask for your name, your email, your company name (optional) and the message you want to send us.
What you write in the contact form is not stored in any database of ours. Our server receives it and immediately delivers it by email to contacto@visenia.com, using the email delivery service Resend. From then on it lives in our inbox, just as if you had written to us directly, and that is where you can ask us to delete it.
If you use the quote tool (visenia.com/cotizar), you also give us:
- Your mobile number, which we verify with a 6-digit code we send you by WhatsApp or SMS.
- The idea you describe to us, your answers to the questions and the visual style you choose.
- The messages you write in the chat to ask for changes to your preview and the parts of the screen you select when you write them.
- Your name, your email and the name of your company or project.
- The date you accepted this notice and the version you accepted.
Unlike the contact form, what you enter in the quote tool is stored in our database, along with the initial proposal and the preview we prepare for you and the chat conversation (your messages and our replies). We keep it so you can come back to your quote, to prepare your initial proposal and your preview, and so the Visenia team can prepare your quote. Verification codes are stored only as a one-way hashed identifier and expire after 10 minutes. From your connection we keep a one-way hashed identifier of your IP address, not the address itself, to set limits against abuse.
We ask you not to include other people's personal data or sensitive data (health, financial or similar data) in your idea, your answers or your chat messages.
In addition, simply browsing the site generates technical data:
- Visit data collected by analytics: pages viewed, time on the site, device type, browser and approximate country.
- The industry parameter in the address (for example ?giro=ferreteria), which only serves to show you examples for your type of business and does not identify you.
- Logs from the server that hosts the site, including your IP address, which are needed to run and protect it.
We do not ask for sensitive data, financial data or official identification to browse the site or contact us. If a project ever requires them, that is agreed separately and in writing.
03What we use it for
The purposes that give rise to our relationship with you are:
- Answering your questions and following up on your request.
- Understanding what you need, preparing a proposal for you and, if we move forward, formalizing the project.
- Invoicing, collecting payment and meeting the legal and accounting obligations that apply to us.
- Verifying your number, keeping your session in the quote tool and preventing abuse (for example, one number having more than one active quote at a time).
- Using artificial intelligence to generate the questions, the initial proposal and the preview of your idea, adjusting the preview with the changes you ask for in the chat, and preparing your quote.
- Emailing you the link to your initial proposal and to your quote, and contacting you about it by email, phone or WhatsApp.
These other purposes are not necessary to serve you, and if you don't want them you can tell us without it affecting your request in any way:
- Measuring how the site is used in order to improve it.
- Writing to you from time to time about what we do, if you gave us your email for that purpose.
To opt out of these, just send an email to privacy@visenia.com with the subject “Secondary purposes”. You have five business days from reading this notice to do so, and you can still ask at any time afterwards.
04Use of artificial intelligence
To generate the questions, the initial proposal and the preview, we send your idea, your answers and the style you chose to an artificial intelligence provider. To prepare your quote we also send it your initial proposal, with any changes you have made to it. If you use the chat to adjust your preview, we also send it each message you write, up to six previous messages of that conversation with their replies, the parts you selected and the current content of your preview. Today that provider is OpenAI (through its Codex tool); as a backup we may use Anthropic (Claude). We do not send them your name, your email, your company or your number, except for what you yourself write in your idea, your answers or your messages.
These providers process that information as our processors, on servers outside Mexico, only to return the result to us.
In the chat, the AI only proposes changes to your preview using a closed set of pieces; our system checks them before applying them and you can undo them. Each message allows up to 500 characters and each quote, up to 15 chat replies. Your messages and our replies are stored with your quote, the Visenia team may read them to prepare your quote, and we do not write them to the system's technical logs.
What the AI generates is a first reading of your idea. It makes no decisions about you, and the price of your project is never set by the AI: a person on the Visenia team reviews and sets it.
06Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. We only rely on providers we need in order to operate, and only to the extent their service requires:
- The infrastructure provider where the site and its database are hosted.
- Resend, which delivers what you write in the form to our inbox and sends you the quote tool's emails.
- Meta (WhatsApp) or the SMS provider, to send you the verification code.
- OpenAI and, as a backup, Anthropic, to generate the questions, the initial proposal and the preview, adjust the preview with your chat messages and prepare your quote, without your contact details.
- The email service we use to receive and reply to your messages.
- Google Analytics, for site measurement.
Some of them process information outside Mexico. In those cases the transfer is the one needed to provide the service you asked us for, under Article 37 of Mexico's Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties. Beyond that, we would only hand over data to an authority that legally requires it.
07Your ARCO rights
You can ask us to give you access to your data, correct it if it is wrong, cancel it when we no longer need it, or object to our using it for a particular purpose. You can also withdraw your consent whenever you want.
Send us an email at privacy@visenia.com telling us what you want to do and which address you wrote to us from, so we can identify you. We reply within twenty business days at most and, if it applies, we carry it out within the following fifteen days. We do not charge for handling the request; if you ask for copies on some medium, you would only pay that cost.
If you used the quote tool, also tell us the mobile number you verified, so we can find your quote. You can ask us to delete your quote and your data whenever you want. Note: discarding a quote in the quote tool does not delete it; to delete it, write to us.
In some cases we cannot cancel everything: if we are in the middle of a contract with you, or if the law requires us to keep a tax record. When that happens, we tell you exactly why.
08How long we keep it
Messages from people who write to us and don't become a project are kept for up to two years, in case you pick the conversation back up. Client data is kept for as long as the relationship lasts and afterwards for the time required by tax and commercial law. Analytics data is kept in aggregate, according to the retention we configure in the tool.
Quotes in the quote tool (your idea, your answers, the initial proposal, the preview, the chat conversation and your contact details) are kept for up to two years from your last activity if they don't become a project; if they do, what is said for clients applies. Verification codes expire after 10 minutes and quote tool sessions after 90 days at the latest.
09How we protect it
We have reasonable technical and administrative measures to keep your data from being lost, leaked or used by anyone who shouldn't: access restricted to those who need it for their work, encryption in transit across the whole site, and providers that maintain their own controls.
No system is infallible. If a breach that significantly affects your data were ever to occur, we will let you know without delay and tell you what happened and what you can do.
10Minors
This site is aimed at people looking for services for their business, not at minors. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has sent us information, write to us at privacy@visenia.com and we will delete it.
11Changes to this notice
If what we do with data changes, we change this notice and update the date at the top. The current version is always published on this page, so this is where you can check what applies today.
Each version of this notice has a date. When you accept it in the quote tool, we keep the version you accepted.
If you believe your right to the protection of your data has been violated, you may turn to the competent authority on the matter.
